Qwixx is a quick-playing dice game that everyone participates in, no matter whose turn it is. You score points by marking off as many numbers as possible! The highest score wins.
During the course of the game, the numbers must be crossed out from left to right in each of the four colour rows. You can leave out numbers, but you can’t go back once you do.
The active player throws all six dice. The following two actions are then carried out one after the other:
1) The active player adds the numbers from the two white dice together and says aloud that sum. The other players may then (but aren’t obliged to!) cross out that number in any colour row of their choosing.
2) The active player may then add together the number shown on just one of the white dice with the number shown on any one coloured dice of their choosing and cross out the number equal to this sum in the colour row matching the colour of the dice chosen.
When you get at least 5 crosses in a row, this locks the row and closes it off for all the players, meaning no more crosses can be made in this colour in any of the future rounds.
The game ends when someone marks their fourth misthrow or when two colour-rows have been completed and locked.
