Qwixx Longo is the sequel to the quick-playing dice game Qwixx! Everyone participates, no matter whose turn it is. Now with eight-sided dice, higher numbers can be rolled to give you more chance to cross off spaces. Are you Qwixx enough to win?
You are trying to cross off numbers in the four colour rows on your sheet. The more crosses you have in a colour row, the more points you score.
You cross off numbers in each of the four colour rows from left to right. You don’t have to start at the left, you can skip numbers, but be careful as you can’t come back to those later on!
The coloured rows are longer than the original Qwixx, ranging from 2-16 and 16-2. You may lock each coloured row using one of the last two numbers. Plus each score sheet has two lucky numbers.
The first player rolls all six dice, then the following two actions are carried out, one after the other:
1) The active player adds the numbers from the two white dice together and says aloud that sum. The other players may then (but aren’t obliged to!) cross out that number in any colour row of their choosing.
2) The active player may then add together the number shown on just one of the white dice with the number shown on any one coloured dice of their choosing and cross out the number equal to this sum in the colour row matching the colour of the dice chosen.
When you cross off the rightmost number on your sheet you lock the row. You then cross off the space with the lock symbol, which will count towards your points at the end of the game.
The game ends when someone crosses off their fourth ‘failed roll’ space or when a second row is locked by anyone and a second coloured die is removed.
Add up the scores, and the player with the highest score wins!
